Community Goals
Community Goals is a new feature introduced in Patch 1.3.5, launching on Wednesday, April 2nd. This system encourages players to set aside their conflicts and work together toward a common objective set by the enigmatic Daru.
Overview
The Daru, long known for their love of trade and wealth, have grown concerned over the relentless wars and bloodshed across the lands of Nuia and Haranya. Believing that harmony and cooperation can be just as rewarding as conflict, they have devised a new challenge for all adventurers.
Each month, players will be given a global task to complete within a limited timeframe; and before too much bloodshed has occured. These objectives will require the combined efforts of all participants on a server, reinforcing the need for collaboration.
Objectives
The specific objectives for each month's Community Goal will vary, but they may include tasks such as:
- Gathering and donating vast quantities of resources.
- Crafting and delivering specialty trade packs.
- Defeating dangerous world bosses collaboratively.
- Constructing large-scale public projects.
- Emoting /hug a set number of times
- Giving Aguru a nice foot rub
The progress of the Community Goal will be tracked in real-time, allowing all players to monitor how close they are to success.
Rewards
Should the players successfully complete the assigned task before the deadline and before the Daru become dismayed by the violence, the Daru will bestow a valuable reward upon all contributors. For the inaugural challenge in Patch 1.3.5, the reward is the highly coveted Rocket Wings #2 Magithopter
Failure and Retries
If the Community Goal is not completed within the timeframe, or if too many PvP deaths occur whilst the event is ongoing, players will not receive the reward and must wait until the following month for a new challenge. However, each new cycle presents a fresh opportunity to claim valuable prizes.
Participation
All players may contribute to the Community Goal, regardless of faction or level. Contributions are cumulative, meaning that even small efforts will aid in the overall progress. The Daru encourage all adventurers to put aside their rivalries and work towards the greater good—at least for the duration of the event.
