Custom Server Changes
AAClassic is a unique server as it runs on a much older version (3.0) than retail, on top of having its own set of custom changes.
Below is a list of notable custom changes on AAClassic that make it more fun and fair than other servers.
Marketplace
The Marketplace on AAClassic does not contain "Pay to Win" items unlike other servers. Only a few quality of life additions border the line of P2W (i.e., inventory slot increases, Daru Subscription Box), otherwise everything else is cosmetic.
Vocation & Economy
Replanting
Replanting is a unique AAClassic feature. On some harvestables, you will find an interaction that allows you to harvest the resource and use a seed/sapling to put a new one in its place automatically. This quality of life feature is meant to make farming bundles and other resources much less manual labor and means players can spend more time in the world instead of having to spend precious time manually planting their fields.
Higher Labor & Rates
AAClassic runs on a higher labor rate of 40 labor every 5 minute (offline AND online). AAClassic also has boosted labor consumption rates AND yield rates on activities such as sports fishing and commerce. This allows you to burn your labor and make money faster, reducing the amount of grind required.
Schematic Scraps
Ship component designs can now be evenstoned for Schematic Scraps. Schematic Scraps can be used to craft specific ship component designs that may otherwise be hard to find.
New Recipes
Special recipes have been added to a variety of items such as Regrade Charms, Lucky Points, Lunarite and more. Because these items were primarily sourced from P2W RNG boxes previously, such recipes were added to make them farmable & part of the economy.
Custom Buffs
Custom recipes for buffs have been added to help free up buff slots and also provide an easier way to obtain loot drop buffs. You can find the recipes in the Folio menu 'o' by default.
- Monarch of the Sea (1hr): Kingdom's Shadow + Dahuta's Bubble effects. Select between +1800 Physical, Magical, or +810 Physical/Magical defenses.
- Spellbook: Bulwark / Spellbook: Authority (1hr): Unstoppable Will + Secret Gift + Honor Goblet. Select between an defensive or offensive spellbook and include the stats you need the most!
- Pigglewiggle Feast / Pigglewiggle Stew (1hr, 10 uses): Assorted Ribs + Jujube Juice + Jujube Sparkling Wine. Select between a delicious feast to boost your strength and agility or delight in a savory stew to increase your intellect and spirit.
- Glittering Charcoal Milk (1hr): Grants you 20% increased loot drop.
- Mysterious Glittering Charcoal Milk (1hr): Grants you 50% increased loot drop.
Events
Mistmerrow
Mistmerrow has an added kill quest to encourage PvP at the event that provides additional rewards.
Mistmerrow has been shortened from a duration of 30 minutes down to 20 minutes.
Crystalline Bloodbath
The Crystalline Bloodbath is a completely custom event that currently takes place every Friday that calls all who are interested to PvP in Diamond Shores, a common occurrence back in the old days of ArcheAge. Completing the event will provide you with 30 Activity Tokens as a reward.
Preparing for the Fish Market
Every Saturday you can get a Fishing quest from any Fish Stand to fish and sell 10 fish to get 20 Activity Tokens.
The Crimson Threat
Every Sunday you can get a quest in Sungold, which requires to kill Anthalon once. Completing this quest provides 15 Activity Tokens
Veroe Harvest
Harvest Festival event where factions fight over rice drops from flowers to deliver packs in certain location in Hasla. Faction that takes the most packs on drop location first wins.
Gearing
Crafted Seals
Similar to 3.5, AAClassic has items called "Mana Seals" which can be crafted with the reforging proficiency. They require varying mana wisp costs and allow a player to take any Epherium+ gear piece and make it a Sealed item again. This allows attempting to get the desired outcome, whether it be an upgradeable piece or a specific stat roll, but is not guaranteed.
Honor Economy
On AAClassic, most honor items have become tradeable. This allows for example to acquire honor gems without needing to get honor yourself. This also allows making gold by farming honor.
The 2nd gem slot is also a 100% slot rate.
Obsidian Materials Tradability
In an effort to promote a free market, AAClassic has set all obsidian materials as unbound. This allows players to farm obsidian materials as an extra revenue source.
Ships
Pufferfish Ship
The Pufferfish Ship (sometimes called 'Puffership') is a small artillery warship equipped with a giant cannon pointing forwards. It has an elevated move speed when heading North or South. It's driving style is quite different from other boats and will require shorter impulses when turning, at the risk of flipping over.
Luxury Liner
This ship has been announced but is not yet available ingame.
Misc Additions
Mirage Casino
The Mirage Isle casino is located immediately behind the building where you will spawn in Mirage Isle.
Previously, the Mirage Isle casino was disabled in retail versions of the game due to EU gambling laws.
Now enabled, you can purchase Bugira Coins from the merchant in the centre of the casino. Using these coins, you're free to interact with either of the 3 types of slot machines available for a chance to win up to 150x your bet.
The three types of slot machines have three separate prices, the base tier costing 1x Bugira coin per spin, the second costing 5x Bugira coins per spin, and the final costing 10x Bugira coins per spin.
An achievement set has been enabled with this, with the final reward being the title "Gambling Addict".
Merit Quests
Know as AAA the Active Adventurers Appreciated are custom added Merit Quests. Only these Merit Quests give small amount of Activity Tokens once completed with XP and gold. To activate them player needs to spend few Activity Tokens.
