Revision as of 17:28, 25 April 2024

ArcheAge NA/EU Retail has been announced to shut down on the 27th of June 2024. Following this news, a lot of ArcheAge Retail player may be looking to join Classic as they would like to keep playing.

Due to the numerous differences between Retail and Classic, this page compiles changes & differences to help you get settled into our own version of Erenor

This page is a work in progress and more information will be added

In the meantime if you're looking at just jumping in, check out the Getting Started page!

Major Differences

Gear types

Hiram and Erenor gear do not exist in Classic. Instead, we use Obsidian and Ayanad gear sets.

The way to grow these gear sets is very different. Instead of doing dailies to grind your Hiram gear, you will instead focus on making gold to regrade, upgrade, or purchase gear.

Skill Trees

Classic does not have all Skill Trees that retail did. You will not find the following trees here:

  • Gunslinger
  • Malediction (Note: Abyssal Skills are enabled and contain the Malediction skills, spread over all trees)
  • Swiftblade
  • Spelldancer

Economy

  • Regrade Charms and Lucky Points are crafted items
  • Obsidian mats, library mats, and honor gems are all tradeable.
Commerce

The Commerce system on Classic is the "old" commerce which means:

  • No Cargo Packs or Freshness value on trade packs
  • Packs can be crafted anywhere and turned in anywhere
  • Gold Trader on Freedich still exists
  • You can acquire Gilda Stars and Charcoal Stabilizer (equivalent to Onyx Essence) via cross-continental trade runs, Dragon Essence via Freedich Runs and Gold via same-continent runs
  • Labor & Gold rates have been adjusted as part of Custom Changes. Packs use more labor but give more gold.

Custom Events

This server has a variety of custom events and changes to existing events to make them more fun. Some include:

  • Updated Mistmerrow includes a boosted kill quest to encourage more PvP and less running in circles.
  • Veroe Harvest Festival, a custom faction PvP event which is a capture the flag like objectives.
  • Crystalline Bloodbath, a PvP event every Friday where everyone comes to duke it out in PvP at Diamond Shores to earn activity tokens.

Custom Changes

You can find a more general overview of changes on the Custom Server Changes page. Here are a few notable ones:

  • Seed Bundles, Coral and Trees can be replanted using a custom feature. This allows spending less time doing tedious work on farms, and more time enjoying the game

No P2W, no Alting

Classic has a strong commitment to not including P2W items in the cash shop. The admins also actively enforce rules against RMT and alting in order to keep the server as fair as possible. Thus patron is free and housing its not restricted by P2W means.

Is land available?

How is Faction Balance
