Festivals are events in the game running on for certain time. Usually festivals are located in a certain map/maps. The specific map/maps are made into safe zones, the usual conflict and war cycles don't apply while festival is ongoing. Each festival has its own coins that players get as a reward and they can be exchanged into different sorts of furniture, decorations, image items etc. Players can travel easily to the festival map by the portal appearing in the hero halls.
