In ArcheAge, one of the optional dailies you'll find is working at a castle!
On Classic, castles are located on the continent of Auroria in Nuimari, Calmlands, Heedmar, and Marcala.
Working in a Castle grants Lord's Coins, which can be very useful for later gear progression. They're also sought after and players will pay a fair price for them
Obtaining a Work Permit
To obtain a Work Permit, you'll first have to be in a Guild. In the prestige shop, you'll find a Blank Work Permit for 50 Prestige
Picking a Castle to work on
Picking a castle to work on is dependent on two things:
- The Ruling Guild
- The state of the castle
You'll usually want to prefer a castle with many farms as it helps get Territoken Quests faster.
As for the ruling guild, this is more of a personal preference. Workers on a Castle generate taxes for the Ruling Guild, which in turn generate Lord's Coins for them. You may want to prefer a ruling guild that aligns with what you like in game. But this is entirely a personal choice.
Acquiring Lord's Coins
Work Orders
Work Orders are triggered by the ruling guild of a castle. When a work order is triggered, the workbenches on the castle Fortress will ask players spend some labor in exchange for a Lord's Coin.
Ruling Guilds will trigger Work Orders to receive Territory Building Materials, which can be used to build Walls, Farms and all Castle buildings.
Territokens
Territokens are acquired at the castle's marketplace and gives you a token to trade in to any farm that has a quest to give. there are several quests you can take but the best one by far is given by the settler arborist which yields 50 pence or 1 full lord's coin (depending if you get the territory pack or the saplings) after four hours when you have planted the territory saplings. you can also take a quest that requires you to bring aurorian waters or flaming log bundles or a hunting quest. the territory product as mentioned above can spawn on any of the workers when their cooldown runs out, you will need to deliver to the market if you decide to take it ( this can be stolen by players so be vary).
